Idea. The essence of an adaptation is the designer's choice: whether to convert the existing building restoring it to its former glory, or to rebuild it thoroughly. In the case of this building, such choice was made downright instinctively: we agreed/discovered/realized that the mass of the building was unique and interesting from an architectural and historical point of view. Recreating the splendour, restoring the former functional scheme turned out to be nothing but logical.
